What we collect, and why

Event email list

If you join the Raleigh event list, we keep your email address so we can tell you about upcoming events, workshops, and pop-ups. That's the only thing it's used for. To unsubscribe, reply to any email we send and say so, and we'll remove you.

Custom cover requests

When you send a custom request, we keep your name, email, the book, your description, and your budget range so we can quote and make your piece. We keep completed requests as our order record; if you'd like a request deleted, ask and we'll remove it unless we need it for an order in progress.

Event signups

When you sign up for an event we keep your name, email, optional phone number (and whether you're OK with texts about that event), how many guests you're bringing, anything you tell us about allergies or accessibility, your answers to any event questions, and whether you agreed to the event waiver and to photos. We use this only to run the event and contact you about it. Payment for events goes through Venmo or Stripe under their own policies. Twelve months after an event, your signup is anonymized.

Orders

Payment for orders placed on this site is handled by Stripe, and orders placed through Etsy are handled by Etsy. They receive your payment and shipping details under their own privacy policies; we never see your full card number. We receive your name, email, and shipping address to fulfill and support your order, and we keep those records as required for accounting.

What we don't do

This site does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or third-party scripts. It sets no cookies of its own. Our hosting and network provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as your IP address to serve the site securely.

Where your information lives

Form submissions are stored on a private server operated by Pretty Cover Co in the United States, with routine backups. Access is limited to the people who run the business.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by replying to any of our emails or messaging @prettycoverco on Instagram.
